People for a Healthy Environment presents The Future Ain't What it Used to Be: Developing Resilience Through a Healthy Environment, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 10 at The Park Church, 208 W. Fire Arts Show, on display through July 7 in The Evelyn Peeler Peacock Gallery at The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, 79 W. Market St., Corning. The juried exhibition features a variety of work across a diversity of mediums from regional ceramicists, flame workers, glassblowers, metalworkers, and more. Artists featured: Kim Binaghi Lee, Sara Hamburger, Jess Humphrey, Caitlin Hyde, Beth Hylen, Patricia Jackson, Beth Landin, Kyle Landin, Martha Manikas-Foster, Carol Nickol, Marissa Scott, Svetlana Short, Joann Smith, Terri Souder, Paul Spencer, Adyn Ulrich, Karen Vogler, Amanda Warren.

Poets in Play featuring GS Murphy, 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, July 11 via Zoom and in person (location TBD). Prompt: “Searching for words in the chaos of the page”. Zoom links will be available on The ARTS Council’s Facebook . Free and open to the public, attendees invited to an open mic forum after the reading to share their prompt-inspired work.
