Why did you start your business? I started Kaleidoscope Studios to provide a safe space for kids to come and learn how to produce their own music. Using professional level music making software and equipment, kids can learn how to produce whatever style of music they want.
Oftentimes kids want to be able to make the kind of music that they hear on the radio but they don’t have access to or can’t afford the expensive music production tools needed to do so. At Kaleidoscope Studios we provide the tools and training so that every kid can feel like a rock star.
Tell me about your business: Kaleidoscope Studios was created through grants from The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes and the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes.
Photos provided. Customers producing music at Kaleidoscope Studios, which caters to youth who may not have the means, equipment or knowledge to produce music.
Who are your customers? Our customers are kids, and even adults, in the community who want to learn more about music production but don’t have access to the tools and training to do so.
What did you do differently during the pandemic that kept your business alive? Kaleidoscope Studios was actually founded during the pandemic!
